Fontaine & Cía. advised Belfi S.A. – Icafal Group in the Araucanía Airport concession tender

From 1 September, the new concession for the Araucanía Airport in Temuco came into effect, awarded to our client — the consortium formed by Empresa Constructora BELFI S.A. and Icafal Inversiones S.A.

This milestone project will see the airport grow from handling 1.1 million passengers in 2024 to more than 3 million by 2030. The concession includes expanding the terminal’s surface area from 5,570 m² to 22,276 m², representing an investment of USD 138 million and generating up to 400 jobs per month during the construction phase.
